The fact is your baby can’t consciously connect cause and effect. They don’t think to themselves, ‘I’m going to cry until I get what I want!’
Your baby is dependent on you, they can’t fix what’s bothering them on their own – whether it be a hungry tummy or needing a nappy change.
You are your baby’s safe place and provide the loving and nurturing environment they need to develop.
